Your Junior year is the most important in the recruitment process, both academically and athletically.
Checklist:
Take SAT or ACT.
Keep the communication coming! Regular communication should start to develop between coaches.
Visit team websites to fill out their questionnaires and become more familiar with the team.
Try to narrow down your list of schools to 5-7.
Start taking campus visits, ask coaches about official visits.
Discuss finances with your family.
Send transcripts to coaches at the conclusion of the year.

If taken before Aug. 1 of your Junior year you can not speak with college coaches while on campus
A key reason to go on unofficial visits is to determine if the school is a right fit for you: Explore the campus, see the dorms, eat in the cafeteria, etc.
