POSITION OVERVIEW
Title: General Manager
Reports to: Club President and Board of Directors
Supervises: Assistant General Manager, Club Controller, Director of Golf, Executive Chef, Director of Racquets, Golf Course Superintendent, Club Administrator, Swim Team Coach/Dive Team Coach (both seasonal)
Position Description: Coldstream Country Club is seeking an established, dynamic, energetic, visible leader as their General Manager to enhance the current member experience.
The candidate must excel in financial management, prioritizing member satisfaction while streamlining decisions and fostering a harmonious team. Having a deep understanding of member services including food and beverage expertise as well as overseeing first-class club events is essential. Effective communication, strategic planning, and implementation are crucial for aligning with club priorities and ensuring sustained growth.
The position will manage all aspects of the club, including all activities and relationships between the club and its Board of Directors, members, guests, employees, and the community. The successful candidate will report to the Club President and Board of Directors. The position currently supervises an excellent team of department heads and employs a total of 100 staff members in season.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Visible leader available to both members and staff
Ability to recruit, train, and educate, a team on providing an outstanding member experience and enhanced member engagement
Governance leadership experience serving as a true thought partner to the Board and Committees
Prepares and monitors annual budget, revenue goals, and expenses, and generates (weekly, monthly, etc.) business volume forecasts in coordination with Club Controller
Monitors financial reports/statements daily, weekly, and monthly basis for the facility and takes effective corrective action when necessary
Establishes, initiates, and monitors basic personnel policies and training along with professional development programs.
Ensures all Human Resources procedures and policies are followed by management staff
Develops, maintains, and administers a sound organizational plan and initiates improvements as necessary
Maintains membership with the CMAA and/or PGA and other professional associations
Attends workshops and meetings to keep abreast of current information and developments
Oversees the care and maintenance of all the facility's physical assets
Ensures the highest standards for food and beverage products and service on property
Implements policies and procedures for multiple departments, including compliance with all company standards relating to the quality of products and services
Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Assures that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate and coordinates ongoing training programs
Regular, reliable, and visible attendance
Demonstrates accountability for all club functions to both internal and external stakeholders
Follows all Club Bylaws policies and procedures

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Including, but not limited to, the following:
Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university with a hospitality degree preferred; and five years' experience at a member-owned private club as a GM or Assistant GM; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proven history of strong financial performance and acumen

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The club will provide compensation and benefits package commensurate with experience and qualifications. This includes but is not limited to:
Base Salary: $165,000 - $200,000
Performance bonus based on personal and club metrics
Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, and life insurance)
