Tournament Operations

• Professional and Organized Tournament Operations that utilizes Golf Genius Tournament Software

• Professional presence at events and giving announcements before and after the tournament

• Ability to maintain and develop relationships with outside parties and potential outings within the community

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Visible leader for the Golf Department

• Recruit, train, and educate the Golf team for excellent and consistent member experience

• Own and operate a well-stocked Golf Shop that meets and exceeds member and guest expectations

• Provide Individual and Group Golf Instruction to Members of all abilities and interest levels

• Provide an organized and professional tournament experience for members and guests

• Assist the General Manager in the preparation and management of the annual budget, and monitoring of key performance indicators throughout the season

• Professional Development and Continued Education

• Implement departmental policies and procedures, including staff management

• Championing future work at the club related to golf including but not limited to: 

• Golf Cart Path Project and Impact

• Practice Facility Enhancements

• Golf Course Master Plan and other Projects

• Maintain professional association membership and involvement

• Ensure compliance with club bylaws and policies

• Professional Development

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Including, but not limited to, the following:

Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university with a hospitality degree preferred; and three years' experience at a member-owned private club as a Head Professional or Assistant Professional with a track record of advancement.
