BULL VALLEY, ILLINOIS | Boone Creek Golf Club is located in Bull Valley, IL and is the only 27-hole public facility in McHenry County. The clubhouse includes a golf shop, full bar, and large outdoor pavilion. Additionally, it has a large practice facility including a grass tee driving range, chipping green, and two putting greens which is home to the McHenry Golf Academy.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Head Professional will handle the daily operations of the facility by providing a pleasant experience for our customers and upholding our highly rated customer service. The Head Professional will own and operate the golf shop and oversee and expand the McHenry Golf Academy offerings.
EXPERIENCE
PGA or LPGA Class A Professional preferred
Considerations will be made for Level 2 or Level 3 Apprentices with at least 5 years of experience at comparable golf operations.
Computer Skills and experience with GolfNow point of sale platforms required.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage daily golf course operations.
Hire, train, and supervise golf operations staff.
Manage payroll, prepare monthly revenue reports and assist in annual budget report for Golf Operations.
Structure pricing for daily greens fees, league play, outings, golf carts, and yearly season passes.
Golf Professional will own and operate the Golf Shop and be responsible for ordering and maintaining merchandise inventory.
Work alongside the Food & Beverage Manager to coordinate Outing schedule for 20+ outings.
Work alongside Course Superintendent to manage daily course rotation.
Create and run the McHenry Golf Academy offerings of junior golf camps, clinics, and leagues.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary range from $45,000 to $60,000 based on experience and professional qualifications. Additional revenue streams will bring the anticipated max total compensation package up to $100,000, consisting of:
Head Professional will own and operate the Golf Shop which grossed over $50,000 in sales in 2022.
100% of Lesson & Clinic Revenue
Annual Performance Bonus
Additional Benefits:
Health Insurance is provided with ownership providing 70% of the cost.
Annual PGA Dues paid.
Additional compensation for PGA Certification (if needed)
