Bob O'Link Golf Club
Highland Park, IL
Highland Park, IL
Located in Highland Park, IL, Bob O’Link Golf Club was established in 1916 and originally designed by Donald Ross. In 1921 it was renovated by C.H. Alison and then in 2016 had its 3rd complete redesign with Jim Urbina back to its original layout from 1921. That redesign included new USGA greens grassed with Pure Distinction bentgrass, new fairways, tee boxes, drainage, irrigation along with Better Billy Bunkers with ProAngle sand.
The Club has had a total of 6 Head Golf Professionals in its 106-year history and has approximately 360 members playing 15,000 rounds annually with no tee times. The Club has an exceptional caddie program with the program having college-aged or younger caddies. The Club supports the Western Golf Association and also has its own employee scholarship program.
The Golf Shop is stocked with many high-end brands with annual merchandise sales over $700,000. The Golf Shop is also equipped with 2 indoor TrackMan simulators which include video for private instruction. The Club also has a newly renovated driving range and short game area equipped with FlagD Golf for distance as well as TrackMan launch monitors.
This is a full-time, year-round position, with a 5-day work week throughout the year - even mid-season (the Club is closed for the month of January and professional staff not on-site). The position will assist the Head Golf Professional in all areas and management of the Golf Operation.
