Louisville, KY| Big Spring Country Club, founded in 1926, is located in Louisville, KY on the outskirts of the St. Matthews area, a suburb of downtown Louisville. The Club’s name is derived from a “Big Spring” which once furnished water for pioneer settlers in the area, and still flows today just below the 13th green on the golf course. The tree-lined fairways at Big Spring are routed around the Middle Fork of Beargrass Creek, with several holes affected by the flowing waters of this natural water hazard.
Big Spring Country Club was the proud host of the 1952 PGA Championship. The course underwent a complete redesign in 2004 by renowned golf course architect Rees Jones. In 2014, Big Spring Country Club merged with Harmony Landing Country Club in Goshen, KY, and the club now offers its members two championship 18-hole golf courses, swimming pools, racquet sports (tennis, platform tennis, and pickleball), first-class dining, and beautiful clubhouse facilities at both locations.
Big Spring Country Club offers a rich history of fellowship and camaraderie that has been celebrated for almost 100 years while providing best-in-class amenities, both "in town" and "out in the country".
