The Head Golf Professional collaborates directly with the General Manager, other departmental managers, the Chairman of the Golf Committee, Board of Directors and the membership. A high level of communication skills are required for success. These capacities are critical to ensuring day-to-day golf operations, as well as playing an integral role in all Club activities and events.

Approximately 15,000 rounds per year
No tee sheet – tee access is “show up and play”
Approximately 200 golfing members
Approximately 280 total Club members
Junior golf program with approximately 50 participants
Full-service Club owned pro shop with Mill River program
Club Select POS software and accounting system
Two (2) ForeSight indoor golf simulators that operate through the winter months • 52 electric golf carts
Caddie program with 40-50 participants
Full tournament schedule with approximately 30 events scheduled over the course of the season
Responsible for promoting the game of golf through an operational structure that provides for a positive “first class” environment for members and their guests.
Oversees and maintains all facets of the golf operation.
Responsible for staffing and personnel supervision of assistant professionals, caddie master, bag room and range personnel, locker room attendants and golf shop staff.
Responsible for Pro Shop Merchandising
Meets with golf committee to plan and coordinate activities and the annual golf calendar.
Schedules and executes a complete calendar of golf events ranging from couples 9-hole events to a 3-day competitive member guest tournament.
Provides professional support, direction, management, training and leadership to golf department personnel.
Promotes and nurtures member and guest relations to enhance the quality of the member golf experience.
Establishes teaching programs at the Club.
Designs, develops, and supervises the junior golf program.
Plans, promotes and oversees all golf operations including tournaments, rules, tee access, range operations, player service operations, cart fleet and may assist with other areas as requested.
As time permits, plays golf with members of all skill levels to encourage utilization and enhance the member experience.
Interprets and enforces club policies, rules and regulations.
Maintains attractive and orderly appearance in golf shop and golf club storage facilities.
Supervises maintenance of golf carts and maintenance personnel.
Oversees the operation of the driving range and practice facility.
Orders supplies associated with the pro shop and golf activities.
Prepares annual budgets and monthly forecasts for golf operations, and sees that financial objectives are met.
Helps to control expenses in relation to revenues.
Drives the sale of merchandise in the Pro Shop.
Solicits and administers Monday Golf Outings.
Attends all staff meetings. Works closely with the entire staff at the club to ensure the members are receiving the very best experience possible.

Salary will be competitive for the market and commensurate with experience, anticipated at $80,000.
Total Compensation Anticipated at $105,000 - $110,000 annually - based on performance related to Pro Shop sales, Lesson income and gratuities.
