Play to Compete is the transition to a focus on competition and achieving peak performance in golf, designed for boys ages 16-23 and girls ages 15-21. It is highlighted by year-round training with an emphasis on competition-specific preparation, in which 60% of the time is dedicated to competition and related training. Coaches play a vital role in supervising all aspects of the game, while parents provide support and fitness experts help prevent injuries. This phase also recommends individualized training plans, skill mastery, mental toughness, and social development, guiding players towards transitioning into lifelong golfers.
