COVID-19 remains a great concern for us all. In particular, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) maintains that older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19. More information about who may be at higher risk may be found at:
If you have any questions about whether you should participate in the Senior PGA Professional Championship, please contact your personal health care provider. More specific information on COVID-19 may be found on the CDC information hub:

The PGA of America has undertaken a number of measures to help mitigate the risk transmission of COVID-19 and other contagious illnesses. Despite these measures, complete elimination of risk exposure and infection to COVID-19 is not currently possible. By entering into the 2021 Senior PGA Professional Championship, Contestants assume all risk and danger incidental to and waive all claims relating to participation in the Championship (both to you and to third parties as a consequence of your actions), including any risk of contracting or transmitting a communicable disease or illness, and waive and release The Professional Golfers’ Association of America, its affiliates, subsidiaries and the host site from any and all liabilities from any such cause, and acknowledge and agree to comply with all rules, policies and procedures set forth for this Championship.
Additional restrictions and protocols could be implemented and announced as the Senior PGA Professional Championship draws closer, however at this time, there are no plans for Contestants to undergo COVID-19 testing on-site at the Championship.
To help maintain the wellbeing of all participants, facial coverings must be worn indoors at all times, including in the PGA Championship Office and Contestant Registration. All players, alternates, caddies and/or other participants are expected to comply with and take action based upon the CDC recommendations outlined in the link below if they are sick with COVID-19 or think they might have COVID-19:
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/if-you-are-sick/steps-when-sick.html
All participants are strongly encouraged to:
Clean/sanitize your hands often (wash with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing).
Avoid close contact (keep at least 6 feet of physical distance from others). This includes no shaking hands or other physical contact (e.g., fist bumps, high fives, etc.).
Adopt a “shelter at home” approach during your entire stay.
We know you share our concern for the safety of all participants, and our collective efforts are needed to create a healthy environment for a successful Championship. Thank you for your attention to these important matters and for your support.
Player only golf cars are available to share during Championship rounds (two carts maximum per group), however a player may choose to walk and carry their own bag/clubs (or have a caddie) during practice and/or competition rounds. Push/pull carts are not allowed during the Championship at any time.
Golf cars are not allowed at the Practice Range. Players may pick up their golf car after leaving the practice range, 30 minutes prior to departing for their starting tee.
A “riding scorer” will accompany each group in a separate golf car (during the final two rounds).
If a player comes in close contact with a person testing positive, or exhibiting symptoms, for COVID-19, the player may be asked to withdraw from the Championship as a result of contact tracing.
