Secretary
The Secretary of the NFPGA, as defined by the Section’s and the National Association’s Constitutions, is responsible for all matters pertaining to Membership and the communication of information to the Members. The Section Secretary shall have the following powers and duties:
To cause the minutes of all Annual Meetings and Special Meetings of the Association, and all meetings of the Board of Directors, to be kept and cause notice of all Annual Meetings and Special Meetings of the Associations and all meetings of the Board of Directors, to be provided in accordance with the Bylaws.
To cause records of all Members and Associates to be maintained;
To be responsible for the maintenance of all correspondence and documents belonging to the Association; and
Serve as the caretaker of the NFPGA Constitution and Bylaws.
Ensure Members of the Section are adhering to the directives of the Section Staff, as provided by the Section’s Board of Directors
Serve as the Chairperson of the Membership Committee.
The Secretary is expected to serve as the understudy to the Section Vice President, to properly prepare for that Office, as they progress through the Leadership roles.
At-Large Position
One At-Large Director position will be elected in 2026 to a two-year term to the Section Board of Directors. The At-Large position is a voting member of the Board of Directors.
At-Large Directors are expected to:
Adhere to certain policies, procedures, and protocols that are expected from any governing board.
Set all personal agendas and interests aside when discussing any issues at a Board Meeting, keeping in mind the responsibility of representing all Members of the Section.
Attend all meetings. Three in-person and one virtual.
Keep all discussions held within the Board Room as confidential, unless otherwise noted.
Provide One Leadership Voice.
