Don't forget to check out these Vol-Star tips!
While Scheduled to Volunteer
Volunteers are asked to wear their own khaki-colored bottoms (shorts, skorts, skirts, or pants) with their official volunteer golf polo shirt and official volunteer headwear item that were provided. You must wear your official volunteer uniform. This will identify you as a PGA of America volunteer to contestants, officials, media, and staff.
While not on Duty
Volunteers are able to wear their official volunteer uniform while on course on the days you are not volunteering.
Bring a chair. Golf carts are not guaranteed to remain at your station during certain shifts. PGA Staff is not guaranteed to have folding chairs for use at certain stations. Shift duties and needs will be covered during volunteer training.
Weather can be hazardous. Please be sure to check the forecast before you come onsite to ensure you pack everything you need for the day: waterproof shoes, extra pair of socks, umbrella, sunscreen, sunglasses, bug spray, etc.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring water and snacks each day.
All volunteers are provided Breakfast and/or Lunch during their shifts.
All Marshal Captains, Committee Chairs, and PGA Staff have access to a radio!
All volunteers are provided a radio during your shift. Please inform PGA Staff if there is any help needed.
