The total field will be a maximum of 264 players, consisting of current Senior Section Champions (provided they entered their Section Senior PGA Professional Championship), top finishers from Section Senior PGA Professional Championships and exempt players, if they meet all eligibility criteria.

Exemptions:

• Eligible (former) Champions of the Senior PGA Professional Championship (Bill Britton, John Brott, Paul Claxton, Jeff Coston,
  John DalCorobbo, Frank Esposito Jr., Ed Everett, Gene Fieger, Kirk Hanefeld, Scott Hebert, Tom Joyce, Roger Kennedy Sr.,
  Bill Loeffler, Pete Oakley, Ed Sabo, Mike San Filippo, Steve Schneiter, Wes Smith, Bob Sowards, Robert Thompson, Jeff Thomsen, Omar Uresti, Jim White, Jim Woodward);

• Top eight (8) finishers, plus ties, from the 2021 Senior PGA Professional Championship, not already exempt (Mark Mielke, Alan Morin, Mike Small, Chad Sorensen);

• Former PGA Professional Champions turning 50 during the current year, prior to the first round of the Championship
  (none);

• 2021 PGA Professional Players of the Year, not already exempt - Senior, Professional and Women's (none);

• 2022 Winter Championships Senior Stroke Play "A" top two finishers, not already in field (Mark Brown, Craig Thomas);

• 2022 PGA Professional Champion if 50 years old (none);

• 2022 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship players who "made the cut", not already in the field (Tim Fleming, Neal Lancaster, Tracy Phillips, Paul Stankowski, Tim Weinhart);

• 2022 PGA Cup Team/ Women's PGA Cup Team Members, not already exempt (Sherry Andonian, Frank Bensel).

Eligibility is limited to PGA members meeting the following classifications and criteria. Contestants must be 50 years old (by Oct. 13, 2022), eligibly employed and active in one of the following membership classifications, or have Life Member Status on the date of entry and on the deadline date (Sept. 21, 2022). PGA of America’s records must reflect this status on both critical dates. The PGA of America reserves the right to determine contestant eligibility and reject any contestant who does not fulfill the requirements listed below.

Not Eligible:

• PGA Member serving a suspension from membership;

• PGA Member suspended from national tournament participation;

• PGA Member classified as F, Reserve, A-3, Retired Member, Life Member Century or Honorary Member;

• PGA Member who has played in more than eight Professional Tour events between Sept. 21, 2021 and Sept. 20, 2022;

• MP - Master Professional

• A-1 - Head Professional

• A-2 - Head Professional at a golf range

• A-4 - Director of Golf

• A-5 - PGA President (must also be employed in one of the other classifications listed or must be eligible for one of the Life Member classifications)

• A-6 - Golf Instructor

• A-7 - Director of Golf or Head Professional at a golf facility under construction

• A-8 - Assistant Professional

• A-9 - Executive or Manager of golf properties

• A-10 - Golf Clinician

• A-11 - Golf Administrator

• A-12 - Golf Coach

• A-13 - General Manager

• A-14 - Director of Instruction

• A-15 - Retail Golf Facility Manager

• A-16 - Golf Course Architect/ Builder

• A-17 - Golf Course Superintendent

• A-18 - Golf Media

• A-19 - Golf Manufacturer Management

• A-20 - Golf Manufacturer Sales Representative

• A-21 - Golf Tournament Director

• A-22 - Rules Official

• A-23 - Golf Club Fitting/ Repair

• A-24 - Golf Industry other

• LM - Life Member Retired

• LMA - Life Member Active

• LMM - Life Member Master Retired

• LMMA - Life Member Master Active

Non-Exempt: Openings caused by the withdrawal, or non-entry, of a NON-EXEMPT player will be filled from within that player’s PGA Section Alternate List, until Tuesday, September 27 @ 5:00 a.m. MT. If the Section has no alternates available, then the opening will be filled directly from the National Alternate List.

Exempt: Openings caused by the withdrawal, or non-entry, of an EXEMPT player will be filled directly from the National Alternate List.

On September 27: All openings caused by the withdrawal of any player, beginning Tuesday, September 27, 2022, will be filled directly from the National Alternate List.
