STAAR assessments, including accommodated versions, and TELPAS listening and speaking assessments and reading and writing assessments are administered online. However, some students might be eligible for special paper or holistic administrations in rare, unavoidable circumstances where students cannot access an online assessment or a testing accommodation cannot be provided in an online setting.
STAAR requests are due no later than January 24, 2025.
Attend the January Work Session if you have questions or need assistance with a request for a special administration of STAAR. Find more information on the "Trainings & Security" menu above. Click "Trainings & Security."
TELPAS requests are due no later than December 18, 2024.
A request should be submitted by a campus staff member who has attended State Assessment Accessibility training in October.
The submission of a request is NOT an automatic approval. Special administrations require TEA approval and should be documented as pending TEA decision until a determination is provided.
