We regularly do hands-on activities in PFLEX (our enrichment pull-out program) that require many different types of materials such as straws, pipe cleaners, glue, markers, scissors, tape, magnets, popsicle sticks, calculators, and more! - GT Project Fairs are coming up soon. Riojas will be on May 2nd and Carpenter will be on May 3rd. Please see flyers sent home or campus pages on my website for more information.
- For our upcoming STEM unit, we are in need of cardboard and shoeboxes. Please send them in as soon as possible!
About Mrs. Spurlin
Hello! I'm Nicole Spurlin and this is my 14th year in education and my 6th year working with the gifted and talented program in Pflugerville ISD. This year, I am excited to be working with students and teachers at Carpenter Elementary and Riojas Elementary.
My husband, John, and I moved to Pflugerville 6 years ago with our son, Will, who will be in 5th grade this year. We have a little dog named Riley who often thinks he's a cat! We love to spend time together as a family playing games, watching movies, going on hikes, traveling, and watching Will compete as a gymnast.
I'm looking forward to meeting the families at Carpenter and getting to know the Riojas families better throughout the year, whatever comes our way!
