Technically, ACC's deadline is the day before class starts. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND WAITING THIS LONG! There are many steps that need to be completed prior to registration so in order to ensure you don't encounter any holdups along the way, take care of these steps sooner rather than later!
You can access the ACC Dual Credit enrollment steps here - you must complete steps 1-9 before you are able to register for classes.
ACC adds registration holds to student accounts every semester. Here are a few troubleshooting items to have your hold removed:
If you are new to ACC - have you completed all the enrollment steps and finalized your enrollment during your 1:1 Dual Credit meeting with Mrs. Wallace? Please refer back to enrollment steps 1-9.
If you are a returning student - please submit the 2023-24 Registration Request form. Your info will be forwarded to ACC so they can remove your hold.

ACC Cohort Plan - Courses are offered periods 2/6 or 3/7 depending on how many students are in the program.
Yes. ACC does offer distance learning (asynchronous) classes, but they aren't for everyone. If you are a student who can manage time without face-to-face instruction, distance learning classes are an option.
ACC posts their course offerings by term, content area, and by location: austincc.edu/schedule. Make sure to check the Dual Credit course list for eligible courses.
Need help reading the course schedule? Check out this course schedule guide.
Students cannot have off periods in addition to ACC periods during the school day. All students are required to have at least 6 Rouse classes.
ACC classes are calculated on a 5.0 scale on your HHS transcript. ACC classes also count toward your college GPA. You are establishing a permanent college transcript with a college GPA.
A student must pass a dual credit class with a C or higher to earn both high school and college credit. A credit of D will earn college credit through ACC, but a grade of D will not earn high school credit.
Grade Calculations
A = 95 = 4.5
B = 85 = 3.5
C = 75 = 2.5
F = 65 = 0
ACC credits transfer to all in-state public colleges and many out of state and private colleges. You can view your prospective college's website for transfer equivalency information.

Yes! Dual Credit classes are actual college classes, taught by actual college professors. If you are a student who turns all your work in on time, reads all the course materials, asks questions, and communicates regularly, ACC classes could be a good fit for you.
Tuition is waived for most dual credit classes. If you have a balance due, it's most likely a First-Day textbook fee. You will need to pay the balance before the tuition payment deadline. Failure to pay will result in being dropped from the class.
Not sure if you owe a balance? Log into your My ACC account > Registration & Payments > Pay for Classes > view the current term
If your balance is $0, no further action is required.
