Here are some things to remember when practicing on your own:
Set up a good chair and your music stand at the right height.
Set your body up properly. (Feet, posture, head, embouchure)
Sit still while playing.
Find the things you don’t do well, and practice those. Sometimes a few measures or notes done slowly will make a huge difference.
Practice slowly with a metronome, like so slowly you can’t get it wrong
Gradually speed up with the metronome. About 5 beats for each try.
Pat yourself on the back for practicing and getting better. It matters!
