Start here!
You will move through the Programs of Study rotations as directed by your teacher. Please make sure to ask questions if any information is unclear.
The pages are arranged by Career Cluster. Under each Cluster is an activities choice page.
The resources page will contain information you may need while studying any of the clusters and programs of study.
The Convention Preparation page has information to help you present your cluster during your Keynote speech or Booth presentation.
Make sure you're filling out your Daily Tracker every day at the beginning and end of every class! Go to the Daily Tracker Module in Canvas and access it daily through Canvas or your Google Drive.
Directions:
Find the Career Cluster for your current rotation.
Day 1: Watch at least two of the career overview videos provided on the main page for the cluster. Look through the video playlist provided to find the most interesting (to you) careers. Take notes under the correct section in your notebook. Begin work for Day 2!
Days 2 & 3: Go to Canvas and open the Career Evaluation Document. Change the title to the Career Cluster you're working in. Choose two careers in your cluster and complete the document.
You will use O*Net online, and the Occupational Outlook Handbook to find the required information. Submit it through Canvas when complete. This is DUE on Day 3!
Days 3-5: Work on other activities from the lists given in the activity pages in your cluster, or create your own activity. Make sure you get permission from your teacher before you start. Once you finish two activities, start preparing for convention! Check the grading guidelines for your activities!
Day 6: Prepare for the convention! If you’re a Keynote speaker, write your presentation. If you’re creating something for a booth, make sure your classmates can understand the career and the information you’ve learned about the career. See the Convention page for ideas.
Day 7: Convention Day! Take notes on the correct Convention Notes page provided. Make sure you list the correct career cluster for each booth! Glue your notes into your journal!
Day 8: Complete the Convention Reflection Document and turn it in through the Canvas assignment.
Having a hard time finding an interesting career in this cluster? Check out the "Career Cluster" search option in O*Net.
