The MHAT team (Mental Health Awareness Training) provides training in Mental Health First Aid, QPR, and Emotional CPR. In addition to training, MHAT promotes mental health awareness in the community through social media campaigns and community collaboration, and distributes information of local resources to assist families and individuals suffering from mental health issues.
Mental Health First Aid is the help provided to a person developing a mental health problem or experiencing a crisis until professional treatment is obtained or the crisis resolves.
Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based public education and prevention tool – it improves the public’s knowledge of mental health and substance use problems and connects people with care for their mental health or substance use problems.
People who enroll in local Mental Health First Aid courses learn a 5-step action plan to help loved ones, colleagues, neighbors, and others cope with mental health or substance use problems.

eCPR Statement of Purpose
“In practicing eCPR we aspire to connect through feelings first, respecting each other as equal human beings, enabling us to mutually share feelings and be together without fixing, judging or imposing our beliefs upon each other; allowing us to explore the unknown together in the present movement, releasing our power through our connection with the universe, giving us new Voice, new Purpose, and new Hope (Ewing).”
