"Petworth Town Band members are such a welcoming, helpful group of people and no matter what standard you are you can feel great satisfaction and enjoyment playing to the best of your ability. "
"After many years of retirement, The Petworth Town Band has provided an enthusiasm for playing I lost many years ago, supported by a conductor and musical director who have made me feel welcome to a group I would not otherwise have met."
"As a late starter to playing an instrument/reading music, the band has enabled me to make progress, play with a fine bunch of musicians and contribute to the local community!"
Steve, Tenor Horn
"I joined the band after my son started playing, I couldn’t play an instrument or read music! Now 12 years on he has moved onto other interests and I’m still playing with Petworth Town Band, and still having fun with a good bunch of friends."
"Being part of the band has developed my playing skills and confidence and helped me achieve in exams and music at school. The experienced/older band members have taken me under their wing and were instrumental (pun intended) in making me a really good cornet player."
"I’ve been playing the flute in the band for three years, and I can honestly say that I’ve never come across a more friendly and welcoming group of musicians."
"It’s one of the best things I have done and I have obtained a great deal of pleasure during my time with Petworth Town Band. I’d recommend it to anyone."
