Covers first aid emergencies such as choking bleeding overdose shock and teaches CPR/AED for children and babies.
Topics include how to provide care for infants and children; how to stay safe; what to do in an emergency; how to choose age-appropriate activities; and how to recognize and handle a variety of behaviors. This course, which includes a final exam at the end, takes about 4 hours to complete.
This course teaches the knowledge and skills necessary to responsibly care for children and infants in and outside of the home. This includes training in leadership, child behavior and discipline, professionalism, safety, basic childcare (bottle feeding, holding, etc.).
This course provides entry-level participants (15 and older) the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing emergencies, injuries and sudden illness until EMS personnel take over. During the class you will learn distressed, active, passive and submerged victim rescue, victim removal from water, spinal management and back-boarding in the water, CPR, AED, rescue breathing and airway management and first aid skills including: conscious victim assessment, bandaging, splinting, caring for soft tissue injuries, burns and more.
The blended learning course combines online education with instructor-led classroom and in-water skills sessions.
Prepares first time referees (13 and older) to work in a competitive or recreational youth and amateur adult matches. Learn how to: Facilitate a fair, fun, and safe game for the players by enforcing and applying the Laws of the Game , Make and clearly communicate decisions based on perception and interpretation of player’s actions, and Facilitate understanding and application the Laws of the Game for players and coaches.
