Kayla's Portfolio

My name is Kayla Irving. My portfolio is a collection of all of the projects I have done in my Design Lab class throughout the whole 8th grade school year. I have learned a lot of things this year. In the first semester, I learned how to program a whole video game, and I dived way deeper into programs like SketchUp and Sculptris, which I had already known how to use from when I was in this class last year. In the second semester of this year, I kept working on these programs and started working on animations more. Before this class I had no idea how to program, or make video games, and it intimidated me. After this year, I know how easy most programming is and how fun it can be. I think I would be interested in pursuing a career in programming now. I was also very used to iMovie by the time this school year started, so it was fun to work more with it, and even learn more about using iMovie to make precise edits in our Zach King videos. I am excited to use these programs more in the future, when I am no longer in this class. I have a learned a lot throughout this year and can't wait to use my skills in the real world.
