WHAT IS WORK-BASED LEARNING
Work-Based Learning is the newest CTE program at Petal High School CTE and was added in the 2020-21 school year. Students who are enrolled in WBL have the opportunity to earn an elective credit while learning and earning on the job and gaining career experience. WBL satisfies the College and Career Readiness credit required for graduation. Students also complete leadership and employment ready curriculum online while participating in the course.
REQUIREMENTS
WBL students must be 16 years of age or older.
Students must have a C or higher in English and Math.
Complete a WBL program application.
Submit recommendations from teachers.
