SCHOOL STORE CLUB

5th Grade Student Volunteers

The PES School Store is an exciting opportunity for our 5th-grade students to learn responsibility, teamwork, and customer service skills—while having fun and helping our school community!

Who Can Apply?

• Eligibility: Open to 5th-grade students only

• Must have a serious interest in volunteering and be able to commit to the schedule

Schedule & Commitment

• The school store is open Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:40–8:00 AM

• Student volunteers arrive at:

  • 7:30 AM if coming as a car rider

  • 7:40 AM if coming as a bus rider

• Students will work under the supervision of a PES parent volunteer

• We ask that you commit to working both days if possible, but we can schedule you for one day if needed

Job Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers (students and staff)

• Help restock and organize the store

• Handle money and make change (training provided)

• Work as part of a team to keep the store running smoothly

How to Apply

1. Fill out the PES School Store Application (also available from your 5th-grade teacher or PTA).

2. Answer questions about your availability and any prior experience.

3. Write a short persuasive paragraph about why you’d be an outstanding school store employee.

4. Get your parent/guardian signature and cell phone number (for store updates only).

5. Submit your completed application to your 5th-grade teacher by August 28, 2026.
