Attendance Policy:

For the safety of all students, attendance will be taken at every class each day of summer school. Even though summer school is not mandatory, we do want to know when your child is going to be absent. Please send a note with your child, call the PELC office at 715-582-3762 ext. 3030, or email Mrs. Gensler at genslerr@peshtigo.k12.wi.us to indicate that your child will not be attending summer school on any particular day.

We understand that during the summer many opportunities become available for students but we want to ensure that every student is accounted for and safe. In the event that your student chooses to leave school for any reason that we do not have a note for, we will make an immediate call home.

COVID Regulations:

  • Facial coverings are optional for students and staff.

It is important to keep your child home if they have any of the following symptoms, and notify the school office. Please check daily for the following:

  • Fever of 100.4 or greater

Please update your Skyward Family Access account with current emergency contact information for your student. • 3rd minor offense - dropped from summer learning

Or

Enrollment:

Class enrollment will be on a first come, first served basis based on the registration date. In the event the class sessions have been filled, an alternate class may be chosen. You will be contacted by phone should this be the case. Some classes may have to be cancelled if there is an insufficient number of students enrolled.

Transportation:

Students being dropped off by a family member can use the PELC cafeteria entrance. Upon drop off, students will enter the cafeteria, go through the breakfast line, and sit down at their class table to eat.

Students being picked up by a family member will exit the building using the PELC cafeteria exit. They should be picked up by 12:30.

Students walking or riding a bike to and from school will enter and exit the building through the PELC cafeteria entrance.

Students will be expected to depart the school to their predetermined location that the parent/guardian has communicated. To ensure the safety of all students, a written note will need to be sent to the summer learning office in advance, in order for us to change a student’s pick up procedure. Phone calls will not be accepted unless due to an emergency.
