If your board is not responding to touch, or is frozen and not opening apps or logging into a profile, or is not turning on you may need to restart your board.
First ensure that your panel has touch-enabled. (Using the button on the front of the panel)
If the touch is enabled or the screen is blank and not responding reset the power.
Find where the power cord connects to the back of the panel. (I usually kneel and follow the power cord with my hand)
When you find the connection on the board feel above and there should be a rocker switch.
Flip the power switch count to ten and then flip the power switch again.
You open your locker and almost all your applications are gone. You may have two or three options. This is a quick fix.
Open the locker
Tap on the settings
After settings open, tap display
This new menu will have a selection called enable apps tap to turn it on.
There are two methods to sharing images from a document camera.
Connecting document camera to a computer and using screen share.
Connect your document camera to your computer
Open the document camera software (dependent on the model of document camera)
Share your screen to the ActivPanel via the screen share app
Connecting document camera to ActivPanel directly.
Use HDMI or VGA cord to connect document camera to the ActivPanel using ports on the front or rear right side of the panel
Using remote, ActivPanel buttons, or Unified menu to change the source to the newly connected device
The ActivPanel has a wired internet connection this means that the panel should have a high-quality internet connection, however when using screen share your computer is using the district WIFI to broadcast a mirror of your computer onto the ActivPanel.
This means that with WIFI issues come sound issues as well as connection issues. The best workaround is to use the ActivPanel as a primary source. This means opening all necessary videos, websites, documents, etc directly on the board.
Currently, you can use chromium to do these tasks, however, soon you should have a host of apps including google drive, chrome, google classroom, seesaw etc.
If your unified menu opens and then closes quickly or if your board seems to have issues with touch please try these two courses of action.
First make sure that nothing is touching the panel. These panels are very sensitive even a paper leaning against the panel or classroom decorations dangling against the screen can interfere with the touch.
If the screen is clear and issues persist reset the power.
