The Primary Grades Theme was designed especially with our youngest students in mind. It includes multiple STEAM focused Lego Duplo building kits and 4 Dash robots. Dash robots can either be driven directly or programmed using simple, drag and drop, block-based coding.
The Robotics Theme provides two very different approaches to working with robots. The 2 Dash robots come with Android tablets and can be either driven directly or programmed using block-based coding. The 2 Cubelets Twelve kits allow students to build modular robots by connecting various cubes that each perform a specific function. 4 additional battery Cubelets will also be included to allow for more students to build simultaneously.
The 3D Printing and Design Theme includes 2 easy to use desktop 3D printers and two multi-temp 3D Printing pens, plus all of the filament, accessories, and software needed to run them. Even young students can create their own designs for 3D printing, with adult help for the actual printing step.
The Circuits & Invention Theme is built around a core of 3 littleBits STEAM Student Sets. Additional Bits fill out the package, allowing for six groups to work at once. Additionally, Lego bricks and brick adapters will be included, giving students the option of using Legos and/or recyclable materials to turn their littleBits circuits into full-fledged inventions.
The Programming Theme is a sampler of devices for bringing computer code into the physical world. These include a littleBits Code Kit for building and programming games, 2 Lego WeDo 2.0 kits for building and programming simple robots, and 2 programmable Dash robots. All programming is done using free Apps that will run either on student Chromebooks or on the provided Android tablets.
The Simple and Powered Machines Theme provides kits from Lego Education and K’nex Education that enable students to create a variety of machines and mechanisms. This theme can be used to address physical science concepts across the grades and building together provides great opportinuties to practice communication skills.
The Drones Theme includes six mini-drones for student use, extra rechargable batteries for extending flight time, and a larger camera-enabled drone to be piloted by staff.
