What is a Title 1 School?
What is Title 1?
Commonly referred to as Panther Time, Title services are federally required for our school district. Our Panther Time groups are provided for 40 minutes daily with either reading or math intervention. During this time, there will be no new concepts taught, but rather specific skills that target a student's particular academic need. Your child will not miss any classroom instruction during this time.
Check out this video for more information from our curriculum department.
How did my child qualify?
During the fall, winter, and spring time periods, your child will be completing benchmarking, which is a set of tests given to check for understanding in reading and math concepts. For grades K, 1, and 2 we use a program called AimsWeb+. For grades 3 and 4, we use I-Ready. If your child scores below the 40th percentile overall, they will be given additional diagnostics to determine what skill level to instruct at during Panther Time.

How will I see my child's progress?
Every 6 weeks, an intervention update report will be available through your child's OTUS account. This will outline what skills your child is working on, the progress they have made, and the intervention they are receiving. Click the links below to access your child's OTUS account.
