Coping Strategies
Does your child need help coping with their feelings and emotions? Listed below are some favorite coping skills we teach students to use:
Deep breathing exercises: Bubble Breathing-Tell your child to breathe in deeply through their nose, and then breathe out slowly through their mouth like they are trying to blow a bubble with a wand. Pizza breathing- Have your child breathe in through their nose like they are trying to smell the pizza, then tell children to blow (breathe out) on the pizza to cool if off.
Drawing/Coloring
Journaling is great for getting thoughts on paper

Playing a board game
