Welcome to Preschool! Our goal for our classroom is to create a space that is safe and enriching for all students. My hope is for every student to feel welcomed and loved as they walk through the doors.
Each day when students walk in, they find the box with their picture to hang their backpacks. They will then check in to let me know that they are here and ready to learn. There are sever areas that are consistent each day when they come into the classroom. These include:
Library center: Here is where students can read or flip through books and relax.
Writing center: Here students will practice writing and fine motor skills such as coloring, cutting, and writing.
Sensory Table: This changes out with each theme but allows students to explore with different materials
Block Center: Once we are finished with circle time, the carpet is open for blocks!
Dramatic Play: This is the kitchen area. This will also change throughout the year as we work through themes!
Table Toys: Students will sit at our desk areas to play with playdough, work through puzzles, do task boxes, and so much more. These look a little different each day.
Small Group: Students will work in a small group or individually with me to ensure academic needs are being met.
Calm Down Corner: This is a space used for when students just need to take a break from the general area. It is filled with sensory fidgets, sensory sticker, pillows, stuffies and more. It is a place used to bring ourselves back to where we need to be to learn successfully.
