The Mount Morris Police Department serves the Village of Mount Morris. The community was incorporated in 1835 and is named after Robert Morris, a financier of the American Revolution. The community is a major thoroughfare and truck route between New York City and Buffalo/Canada. The Village is the northeastern gateway to Letchworth State Park.
In January of 2024, after almost 5 years with his previous agency, Officer Masci began his employment with Mount Morris Police Department. Officer Masci was responsible for:

The Perry Central School District is located in the Village of Perry, NY and is home to approximately 800 students. The district consists of one Elementary/Jr. High School and one High School. The district is the first in the Genesee, Livingston, Orleans, and Wyoming (GLOW) region to employ an in-house Administrator focused on Safety & Security.
As the Director of Safety & Security at Perry CSD, Officer Masci was responsible for:
Chief Safety Officer- Creating Safety Plans, executing safety drills, facilitating Safety Committee Meetings with Administration, facilitating Emergency Response Team meetings, Safety Briefings for Administrators, Faculty, and the Board of Education as appropriate
Campus Security- Maintaining a presence on campus to deter criminal and dangerous activity, security checks, roll-out and audits of security systems & enhancements
Education- Instructing lessons for students, Faculty, and Staff as appropriate such as D.A.R.E., school violence prevention, Distracted/Impaired Driving, etc.
Early Intervention- An integral part of the Pupil Personnel Team (PPT) to be involved in student achievement concerns, counseling as appropriate, Mental Health Evaluations, etc.
Emergency Services Liason- Coordinates efforts between local Law Enforcement, Fire, and EMS agencies
Access Control Systems- Oversees district key card assignments, areas they are able to access, etc. as PCS rolls out it's keyless campus model.

The Perry Central School District is located in the Village of Perry, NY and is home to approximately 800 students. The district consists of one Elementary/Jr. High School and one High School. The district contracts with the Perry Police Department to provide one full-time School Resource Officer for the UPK-12 campus.
As the School Resource Officer at Perry CSD, Officer Masci was responsible for:

Since arriving at PCS, Officer Masci has overhauled the district's School Safety Plans from the ground up including protocols for Missing Students, Hold-in-Place, Lockdown, Lockout (Secure), and Evacuations with a focus in off-site Evacuation & Reunification planning as it correlates to the Incident Command Structure. Officer Masci led the efforts to integrating the Raptor Emergency Management suite into PCS that allows all staff to initiate an emergency response with a press of a button on their phones where they can also reunify students, etc. in an emergency. Officer Masci is recognized as a leader in this field within his region and is often leaned on for support in local school initiatives to do the same. For the 2023-24 year, Officer Masci revolutionized School Safety even further by moving PCS and other regional districts to the Standard Response Protocols program which is a national movement endorsed by FEMA to standardize the language and response of all schools in an emergency.

Police Investigative Therapy Dog Handler
2020- Present
The Police Therapy Dog program comes in response to the growing number of youth and adults experiencing emotional distress. K9 Sunny is a Yellow Labrador Retriever that is deployed with Officer Masci full-time. In this unique partnership, K9 Sunny is often a beneficial asset for interviewing juvenile victims, mental health evaluations, counseling, and for those experiencing trauma. K9 Sunny is deployed with Officer Masci in the halls of PCS where it is estimated he interacts with approximately 100 students each day in multiple disciplines. This has recently earned him "Top Dog" status as the American Kennel Club awarded him the honor of 'Distinguished Therapy Dog' in December 2021. K9 Sunny maintains a social media presence for the community on FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM.
