Andrew  Houghton is a local to Perry, graduating from Perry High school in 2007. After graduation he addended Concordia University in Seward Nebraska where he earned  his Bachelor in Music Education (K-12, Vocal & Instrumental) and his Lutheran Teaching Diploma.

In 2011, he returned to Oklahoma and began teaching at Morrison Public Schools, Instructing 1st - 4th grade general music, and 5th - 12th grade band. 

In 2014, the opportunity opened for him to return to his High School, which he took. After serving seven years as assistant director, in 2021 he became head director of the Perry High School Band.

Andrew currently lives in Perry with his wife, Rebecca and their three spoiled dogs, Gracie, Brownie, and Tiger.
