I am a Perry Native. I graduated high school from Perry in 2002. I went to college and received a Bachelors Degree in Finance in 2005.
From 2005, I went to work at Ditch Witch. I enjoyed it, however, it was not sparking my soul. After I had by first child, Alley, I decided to do the alternative teaching certification. I landed my first job in Billings in August of 2008. I knew that I did not have the credentials or the experience I needed so I received a Masters' from OSU in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership.
In August of 2012 I taught middle school mathematics at Crescent for 2 years. Finally, in August of 2014 I started teaching at Perry. I have taught Algebra 1, Intermediate Algebra, Algebra II, SPED Geometry, SPED Algebra I, SPED Algebra II and computer courses since I have been here. I love teaching and am so thankful that I made that decision to move!
My family is one of most important things in my life. You can usually find us in a gym or on a field of some sort because I have to active children who are involved in every sport that Perry has to offer!
Class Guidelines
1. NO WORK SHOWN, NO CREDIT GIVEN.
2. Calculators can be rented for $25.
3. All student handbook policies are enforced.
4. Courtesy and respect toward others (including personal property) is expected.
5. Writing on desks, chairs, calculators, textbooks, and walls will not be tolerated.
Classroom Procedures
My lectures are all recorded and uploaded to the google classroom for each class.
All work is due in class DAILY. There is hardly every any work sent home. This allows for several things to happen a) there is never any reason to have a 0 on an assignment and b) any help they need, I am always there to guide them through it.
If you do not understand a concept, please ask for clarification! Math builds on itself. Every chapter we go through, builds on the last one. If you miss concepts the further in we get the further behind you get!
Syllabus and Class Information
For ALL classes, assignments and announcements are made on the Google Classroom class page. Due to copy right laws of the materials I use, student are the only ones able to have access. Each student should have an email address from the school and know how to access this page. If they do not know their email, please have them contact Emily Miner. If they do not know how to access the Google classroom, please have them contact me.
