Math Logs
The third grade teachers strongly believe the best way for students to become fluent in their math facts is daily practice. Please make this a priority at home, it makes the rest of their learning so much easier when the are able to recall facts quickly. 5 minutes a day makes a huge difference!
Reading Logs
The purpose of the reading log is for me to see what your child is reading, how quickly he/she is moving through books. Students will need to write down the title, author, level, page numbers in book, start date and finish date. Click HERE for a great resource about why you should read AT LEAST 20 minutes at home.
How Many Books Should My Child Be Reading in a Week?
Level J, K (8-10 books)
Level L, M (4-6 books)
Level N, O, P, Q (2-4 books)
Level R, S, T (1-3 books)
Level U, V, W (1-2 books)
