To log into your student account using an iOS app, you'll need either your class or individual QR code from your teacher or your temporary text code from your teacher.
At the top of the screen, you will see all of your assigned activities under “To Do”
Click on the activity to see its instructions. When you are ready to begin, select “Start”
Create your post. Then tap the blue paper airplane button in the upper right corner when you are ready to submit the post to your teacher for approval.
Login to the ClassDojo app
Under the “My Portfolios” heading, click on the + tile
Choose Journal, Photo, Video, or Drawing
Once you have created your entry, select the blue paper airplane button to submit it to your teacher to be approved
To save the entry to continue editing it later, click on the downward facing arrow in the top left corner of the screen. The entry will now be seen as a Draft under the “To Do” heading. From there, click on the entry and select “Continue Editing” to continue editing and submit
Login to the ClassDojo app
Tap on the tile of the class that you'd like to enter first.
Using the steps from "How to post to a learner portfolio" from above, complete any and all assignments that need completing.
In the upper left of the screen, tap the back arrow to go back to ClassDojo dashboard to see all of your classes.
Repeat steps 2 -4 with all classes as needed for the day.
Click "I’m a parent"
Select “Create parent account”
Enter your email address and create a login password (must be at least 6 characters long), then tap "Create Account”
Enter your first and last name, then tap "Next"
Enter your parent code (between 7 - 9 characters long, starts with a "P") and click tap "Check code"
Parent codes are reusable, so it can be used by as few as one parent or guardian or by as many parents/guardians as you or the teacher would like! This is great for parents who are separated, divorced, or those who have multiple family members or caregivers who all want access.
All of the parent accounts linked to a code are separate and private. All connected parents can view their student's points as well as any posts that are made to the Class Story or Portfolios. However, any messages exchanged between each account holder and the teacher are private.

Log into your parent account
Click on the picture icon in the upper left corner of the screen. All the students connected to you will appear underneath your account (Note: You may need to scroll down to see all of them if you have multiple children connected to your account)
Tap on the student to allow them to access their student account where they can post photos, videos, journal entries, and/or drawings to their Portfolios (pending teacher approval), view any previously approved posts, view their reports, and customize their monsters!
To access your parent account again, select the picture icon on the top left and select your account
Tap on the monsters in the bottom center of the screen (the "Kids" tab)
Tap the blue “+ Add code” button
Enter your parent code (7 - 9 digits, starts with a “P”) and tap the blue "Check code" button
Repeat steps 1-4 to add additional codes
You can now select the monsters in the bottom center of the home screen and select a student to view their reports and customize their monster!
ClassDojo Messaging helps teachers and parents safely and privately communicate with each other in real time.
Our messaging feature is similar to Facebook Messaging. As long as you have internet access, you can use ClassDojo Messaging!
How to turn on ClassDojo Messaging
Messaging is already a part of your ClassDojo Parent Account. You can access it from your ClassDojo iOS or Android app, or by logging in from the web here.
On the website and apps you'll see a “Messages” tab where you can select a teacher, then view and compose messages.
When I respond to a teacher, is it private?
All messages sent by parents on ClassDojo Messaging can only be viewed by the teacher. No other parent (even your child's other parent or guardians) can view your messages.
ClassDojo Portfolios is a 100% free, digital student portfolio that allows students to share their learning with their teacher and their family! Students can upload work to their Portfolio in class or at home, and families can see their child's posts on a mobile device, or on the Web.
To see your child's work, simply log into your ClassDojo parent account and tap the Stories feed to see your child's posts. You can "like" a post and leave a comment, and both your child and their teacher will be able to see your feedback!

We know how important it is to stay connected to your child's teacher, so we're excited to offer ClassDojo Translate, which will translate Messages into 36 different languages!
To translate messages from your child’s teacher, you must have your language settings set to your desired language.
To Set Your Preferred Account Language:
Tap the gear icon in the upper right corner
Select “Account”
Select “Language” to view the list of languages
Select your preferred language and your account will automatically update to it
In your messages tab, under each message the teacher sends you will see a “See translation” button. Clicking this will translate the message into the language to which your account is set. To revert back to the original, select the “See original” button.
