My name is Amanda Dooley and I am your child's Social Studies teacher this year. The 2023-2024 school year will be my 11th year at PTHS and I couldn't imagine working anywhere else. Throughout my journey at PTHS, I have taught a variety of courses including AP US History II, World History, World History Honors, US I, US I Honors, Sports & American Society, Economics, Social Justice, Criminal Law, and Public Speaking. 

Outside of the classroom, I have served as the Student Council Advisor from 2014 -2019, an assistant girls' basketball coach from 2013 - 2022, and the assistant girls'volleyball coach from 2019 - 2023! 

I am very excited about the start of the new school year and look forward to an enriching and successful year for all of us! Communication is key to a successful classroom; I look forward to working as a team with both students and parents to ultimately reach a universal goal of learning!
