PEPA Art Gallery
What a joy it was to celebrate our students' incredible artistic talents at the recent art gallery! We were so proud to showcase the beautiful artwork children across the school have been working extremely hard on. Thank you for coming along and making it such a special event!
Pepa Tots Graduation
Thank you so much for joining us for our preschool graduation. It truly meant the world to us, and to your children, to have you there as we marked that special milestone.
It's been an absolute joy watching your little ones learn, grow, and explore throughout their time with us. We're incredibly proud of all they've achieved, and we know they're ready for their next big adventure.
As they embark on their Reception year, we wish them all the very best of luck. We're confident they'll continue to thrive, make new friends, and embrace all the exciting learning opportunities ahead
We hope you all have a truly lovely summer filled with fun. Thank you.
A huge thank you to our amazing PTFA for organizing such a fantastic fun afternoon for all the children! They went above and beyond, arranging for an ice cream van to attend school, ensuring every child received a delicious ice cream or ice lolly. The inflatables on the field, including the bouncy castle and slides, were a massive hit, providing so much joy and laughter. The children also had a blast with the water games on the field! We are incredibly grateful to our PTFA for putting together this wonderful event and for all their hard work and dedication in organizing so many brilliant activities for the children throughout the year.
Farewell to Mrs Champ
We all want to wish Mrs Champ all the very best as she leaves PEPA and moves on to her new role at Leigh Academy Bearsted. We will all miss her very much as she has been a shining star at PEPA over the past three years, moving on our SEND provision, contributing to improving teaching and learning and our curriculum offer as well as her involvement in Year 6 and with our most recent Ofsted. We know she will be an asset to her new team and we hope to see her again very soon. For now we all want to wish her all the very best for the new role and for the future.

Free Summer Reading Challenges at Medway Libraries
Join us at Medway Libraries for our free Summer Reading Challenges for the whole family! With our fun Story Garden theme, we will be exploring the connection between storytelling and nature together. We have lots of free events for all ages this summer, including theatre shows, artist-led workshops, Mama G performances, storytimes, Lego Clubs, and craft sessions. To book, visit any Medway library or visit our website.
This year we have four reading challenges. You can participate individually or as a family:
The Mini Challenge, for 0-3 year olds
The Summer Reading Challenge, for 4-11 year olds
The Teen Reading Challenge, for 12-17 year olds
The Adult Reading Challenge, for everyone aged 18+
All challenges are free, and run until Saturday 13th September.
Why take part?
Our Summer Reading Challenges for children and teens help young people retain their literacy skills over the summer holidays, spend time away from screens, and encourage reading for pleasure. Reading for pleasure increases wellbeing, creativity, and empathy in all ages, is the single most important indicator of a child’s future success, and statistics show teenagers who read for pleasure are more likely to attain higher paid jobs as adults. Reading through the summer holidays will provide your children with skills and memories that will last a lifetime- it is an investment in your child’s future.
Research consistently shows that children who read (independently, or with an adult or older sibling) not only excel academically but also cultivate stronger family bonds, are more creative, and have improved emotional wellbeing.
The Children’s Summer Reading Challenge
The children’s Summer Reading Challenge is to read 6 library books before Saturday 13th September, and for every book children read they'll win a prize, including stickers, bookmarks, and badges. The final prize is a certificate and special medal!
All library books count towards the challenge, including but not limited to:
Fiction books with stories
Graphic novels such as Dog Man and Bunny vs Monkey, comics, and manga
Non-fiction books, full of facts and information
Joke books
Poetry books
eBooks borrowed from our eLibrary
Audiobooks- ideal for long car journeys!
The main thing is for children to choose their own books- books they want to read and enjoy! Younger children can have help to read their books, e.g. from an adult or sibling.
It's quick and easy to sign up; just visit any Medway library. Happy reading!
