Welcome to our online learning page. I hope you are all doing well and being kind to yourself and your family at this difficult time. I have added some activities for you including reading, writing, maths and our Inquiry topic about robots. There are also some fun activities you can do with the whole family. I have also shared the classroom slides with you too. If you have any questions or need any help you can email me at sherylho@pep.school.nz.
Stay safe and I'll see you soon.
Love from Ms Hodson
Sunshine Classics - Login to the Sunshine Classics website for your reading activities. The password is "sunshine" and I have set some reading tasks with a quiz at the end of each tasks. Remember to read your story carefully so that you can get the answers correct in the quiz.
Epic Books - Go onto Epic and read some stories. If you are reading non-fiction, write five facts about what you learnt on a Google slide, add some pictures too. If you are reading fiction, write a summary of the story and share it with me on Google slide. Remember to put all your work under the Reading folder in your Drive. The class code is szi5143.
Sumdog - Get your basic facts up to speed with Sumdog. I have your password if you have forgotten it, just email me or ask on Hangouts.
I have set some maths tasks for you on Studyladder. Contact me via Hangouts or email so I can send you your password.
Procedural Writing - This term we are looking at how to write a procedural, this means you are telling someone how to do something, or how to make something. You could write out your favourite recipe, or tell me how to make slime, or do some origami and add instructions. Up to you what you share. You can add photos as you go, make a video of yourself, or just write out the steps. Put this into your Writing folder.
Typing Tournament - Practise your typing skills on Typing Tournament. Email or contact me through Hangouts for your password.
Robots - I have already shared with you the Robots in our World slides. Some of you have already done slides 2 and 3, so carry on with the activities on each slide up to slide 8. If you haven't started yet, start on slide 2, watch the two videos and complete the tasks up to slide 8. You can make your own robot from any bits and pieces you might have around your house. Send me a photo when you're done.
