From the interviews, there were many negative opinions about kendo (severe, painful, etc.), and I felt that it has many images that keep other new participants at bay. It is true that the tough part is one of the important aspects of kendo, and I think it is an important part. However, it is also true that young people's ideas have changed over time, and they do not appreciate the trend that strict is the best.
Therefore, the key to incorporating young people into kendo and the development of kendo culture in Japan is to create a new image that dispels the negative image that has been created so far, and to attract young people.
