I choose to discuss patient rights and how mental hospitals handle informed consent. Informed consent is when a patient or person is informed of the possible consequences and risks of certain medicines or medical procedures. When we explore mature topics like this one, it is important to know how a certain dose of medicine can affect you. I plan to explore the overall topic, and possibly some cases that may have occurred. This is important not only to me, but to everyone because, you should always know, or assume the outcome of something before you agree to it. As I begin to take a closer view into this topic, you can expect some pieces similar to this one to come.

I choose to ask the question what do unicorns represent and where are they all hiding? They can be these cute adorable creatures or these strong mythical steads. When we explore these creatures it's important to keep our minds open because Unicorns can be a little girl's dream or a warrior's trusty companion. I'm interested in the origins of this mythical creature and how it's come to represent all that it does today. From rainbow-glitter farts to the national animal of Scotland, as readers, you can expect a full exploration of this topic and perhaps we'll even find one?

Hi! The topic I have picked is about where and how funding is used for various clubs and sports. I plan to explore this topic with the main goal of how the various fine arts programs funds get distributed, and how can it affect the clubs themselves. This topic matters to not only the school but the students and administration that run it, along with parents who pay fees for these clubs. I hope that as I dive into it, I understand the process of funding for clubs, mainly the fine arts. As my investigative journey starts the upcoming piece that you’ll see is a general look at what funding for clubs and sports looks like!

I plan to investigate the many aspects of global warming and climate change. This topic affects everyone and needs to be something that everyone knows more about because this global phenomenon is changing life and the environment that we all live in. Through my research and series of pieces, I plan to uncover why climate change is occurring, why some people don’t believe in it or think it isn’t worth finding solutions for, what the statistics are for greenhouse gas measurements, what deforestation has done to the planet, why the sea levels are rising, finding out if storms more prevalent and powerful now as opposed to many years ago, and how has human health been impacted.

The topic I chose to do was teen mental health and the way it affects them.

This matters to me because it is such a big issue in today's world. Mental health issues affect so many people, especially teens, and can affect their day-to-day life. Mental health overall should matter to everyone. With this investigation, I plan to uncover the causes influencing poor mental health and how teens react to them. What you could look forward to is learning things that affect your mental health and the different reactions to it.

Between the ages of 10 and 19, 1 in 7 children have some sort of mental disorder. Another study showed that 4 in 10 high school students felt hopeless and constantly sad. Thoughts of suicide have increased by 40% in the past 10 years for young people. With these high numbers, a lot of teens don't know why they feel like that or what is making them feel so “different” than everyone else. The articles below show what a disorder might look like and what can cause it.
