🚒 Pennsylvania Tuesdays: Bob Brooks for Congress (PA-7)
A 20-year Bethlehem firefighter and former president of the firefighters' union, who fought a ten-year battle to win mental health coverage for his crew. He's taking on Ryan Mackenzie, who voted to cut healthcare for his own neighbors and constituents while cutting taxes for billionaires.
🏥 Michigan Thursdays: Will Lawrence for Congress (MI-7), and Dr. Abdul El-Sayed for US Senate
Will Lawrence is the Sunrise Movement co-founder who helped win the largest green jobs program in US history and delivered hundreds of millions to Mid-Michigan. He co-founded Michigan Rent Is Too Damn High to win statewide renter protections.
Dr. Abdul El-Sayed is a medical doctor who realized broken politics was making people sick, and he went to work fixing government: rebuilt Detroit's Health Department after bankruptcy, got lead out of the schools, and canceled $700 million in medical debt for 300,000 Michiganders. He wrote the book on Medicare for All, and now, he's going to the Senate to make government work for you, not billionaires.

People's Action Institute: Deep Canvass for Democracy
People are tuning out of politics in big numbers! If we give up on each other, our communities pay the price. Deep canvassing uses curiosity and storytelling to rebuild trust and win what we need in our lives.
What you'll do: In this training and phonebank, you'll learn compassionate curiosity and storytelling, get dialer hours, and talk to real people about what matters most to them — the affordability crisis and protecting the election. No experience needed.
Ongoing: Every Saturday, 2–5 PM ET phonebank.
⭐ The big one — Saturday, October 10, 11 AM ET: We're launching in-person door canvass across the country! People from the People's Action Network and across the country will join for the launch — in person and virtual.
What's expected:
Show up curious — you don't need to know the "right" things to say; the method teaches you how to listen first
First-timers get training before their first conversations
Whether you want to deepen connection as a community leader, neighbor, or within your own family, this skill transfers everywhere

People's Action: The People's Tea
We're building a space to slow down, make sense of what's happening, and move from feeling overwhelmed and isolated toward understanding, connection, and collective action.
What you'll do: Join our biweekly power hour to process the news, learn what it means, and find out what we can do about it. Stay informed without losing your humanity (and sanity).
When: Every other Wednesday — 8 PM ET / 7 PM CT / 6 PM MT / 5 PM PT (next: Wednesday, October 7, 8–9 PM ET)
What's expected:
There's only one requirement: be respectful and non-judgmental
This is a judgment-free space — no expectation to have all the answers, know the "right" things, or even know where to begin
Come to learn, listen, and connect — cameras on if you're comfortable, but participation happens at whatever level feels right
Commitment: One hour every other week. Come once or become a regular.
