I grew up in State College, Pa and graduated from State College High School in 1987. I then attended Penn State University with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I also have a Masters Degree from Wilkes University in Educational Leadership. I have been a teacher in the PVASD for the past 25 years. I like in Centre Hall with my husband, Michael, and my two kids, Aidan and Ellie.

All students will be instructed in the rules of our Bullying Prevention Program currently in place within the district school wide. The rules we adhere to in this program are as follows:
We will not bully others
We will try to help students who are bullied
We will make it a point to include students who are easily left out.
When we know someone is being bullied, we will tell someone at school and someone at home.
Students will be instructed about what to do when they are bullied or see bullying occur through morning meetings and teacher discussions and various school wide activities. They will be instructed in ways to report bullying incidents that happen to them or are witnessed by them.
Discipline:
Each day we make choices. Every person is in control of the choices that he/she is making in our classroom. It is my goal that my students learn that good choices earn us positives/benefits ( notes home, phone calls home, extra DPA, or some free choice time). If a problem in my classroom continues happening repeatedly, I will be in contact with you to work on a solution. Each day is a brand new day in Team Second Grade. We all have rough days.
