Grading
This course follows the grading policy as outlined in the student handbook. Refer to the handbook for educational trip requirements.
Your grade for this course will be earned based on a variety of assessments including class participation, quizzes, tests, homework, writing assignments, in-class activities, projects, etc. Please make sure you turn in all of your work on time. Submitting late work will significantly impact your grade. If submitting late work, you must complete a missing work log.
A= 100-90, B= 89-80, C= 79-70, D= 69-60, F= 59 and below
Students will not be tested or required to hand in assignments on the day the student returns to school if they were assigned on the day the student was absent. Students should adhere to deadlines of assignments, tests, and projects that were established/assigned prior to the absence.
Students have equal to the number of days absent for make-up work, tests, assignments, reports, etc., up to a maximum of five (5) days without late penalty. (See Family Educational Trip guidelines in the student handbook for exceptions.)
Late Policy
There will be an 11% deduction from the score of an assignment, when an assignment is submitted late. After nine days, a formative assessment will not be accepted; however, a summative assignment is still required to be submitted.
*You should record your homework assignments in a planner or other organizer each day to keep track of upcoming due dates. Also, use a monthly calendar to reference upcoming assignments and tests!*
*If you have questions concerning your grade for this course, please come see me at any time. We will be using the standard grading system for this course. Grades can be accessed using the SIS Student Portal.
