Pennsbury High School is proud to offer students the opportunity to become members of the National Honor Societies in French, German, and Spanish. These prestigious societies recognize academic excellence and a commitment to world language studies.
We hold two induction ceremonies each year: one in December and one in May.
To be eligible for induction into a World Language National Honor Society, students must meet the following requirements:
Spanish:
Completion of Spanish 3 Honors, 4 Honors, AP Spanish, or Independent Study with a final average of 93% or higher
French or German:
Completion of Advanced French/German, Literature & Conversation, AP, or Independent Study with a final average of 93% or higher
AND
An overall average of 91% or higher across all levels of the language studied
Students who qualify will receive the following distinctions based on their highest level completed:
Spanish 3 Honors / Advanced French or German
→ Certificate of Membership
Spanish 4 Honors / Literature & Conversation French or German
→ Graduation Cords
AP Spanish / AP French / AP German
→ Graduation Tassel
Independent Study (if available)
→ Medal, Sash, Pin, or Patch
