Dive Coach: CJ Colletti
Contact: ccolletti@pennsburysd.org
Coach Colletti teaches Applied Engineering and Technology Education at PHS West, specializing in Graphic Design, Woodworking, Furniture Design and STEM Guitar Making.
As a competitive diver in high school, he ranked 13th in New York State on the one meter springboard and 11th on the three meter springboard and competed in the Empire State Games. A move to New Hampshire during his senior year brought new opportunities, culminating in winning the Boys 1M State Finals and breaking the state record. These accomplishments led to him being recruited to dive Division I for the University of Maine but sadly he was redshirted his Freshman year due to a recruiting violation.
On a national level, he had the opportunity to train in Boca Raton Florida and later Ft. Lauderdale with Hall of Fame Coach Ron O'Brien and USA National Diving Coach Tim O'Brien. He also trained under Jeff Huber and Hobie Billingsley of Indiana University. Their influence taught him the importance of precision, perseverance and discipline, values he brings into everything he does.
While he has never formally coached diving, he spent 10 wonderful years as the head coach of the Jack Frost Big Boulder Freeski and Snowboard Team. Those years gave him the chance to mentor young athletes and foster skills like teamwork, confidence and resilience. These experiences now shape the way he approaches his classroom, where he strives to guide students as they explore their interests and overcome challenges.
Outside of teaching, he is passionate about music, photography and entrepreneurship. Coach Colletti owns an entertainment company and is a partner in an entertainment group. On weekends, he works as a DJ, producer and voiceover artist for a talent agency based in Bucks County. He and his wife enjoy road trips through New England, snowboarding and spending time with their now-adult children.
At the heart of everything he does, he believes in building meaningful relationships and encouraging growth. Whether he's teaching, coaching or creating, his goal is always to inspire others and foster environments where people feel supported, valued and ready to succeed. His goal is to bring this mindset to Pennsbury Diving and support our student athletes to reach their full potentials!
