Business, Computer and Information Technology Department
The Business, Computers, & Information Technology Department (BCIT) at Pennsbury provides exciting classes for students whose college specialization will be related to Accounting, Business, Finance, Computer Science, or Marketing. Students can also take our classes to learn real-life skills such as professional document writing, saving, investing, and entrepreneurship. The BCIT Department has recently expanded its offerings into these areas. For example, students interested in marketing have a choice of learning it from the aspect of sports and entertainment or social media and digital marketing. Students who are interested in the stock market have the opportunity to study financial management and participate in a stock market game. Those interested in the possibility of owning their own business can learn about entrepreneurship as they study the basic aspects of business.
Through the National Business Honor Society, the BCIT Department confers nationally recognized curriculum certificates for a demonstrated commitment to advancement in Business Education studies.
Additionally, through the Dual Enrollment Agreement between the Pennsbury School District/BCIT Curriculum and Gwynedd-Mercy University, students have an unique opportunity to earn undergraduate credits from Gwynedd-Mercy University that are transferable to many other Universities.
For additional information about Dual Enrollment or anything else in the BCIT Curriculum please contact Mr. Frank Mayo, BCIT District Curriculum Coordinator, at fmayo@pennsburysd.org or 215-949-6780 Ext. 70979.
