Homeroom Expectations:

Although homeroom is the shortest period of the day, it is one of the most important. It is a time to prepare for the day, to organize materials, and to catch up with teachers. Here are our homeroom expectations:

  1. Homeroom begins at 8:10. You are to be in your assigned seat at this time.
  2. Arriving at school later than 8:10 requires your parent/guardian to sign you in at the office.
  3. Any time you are late for homeroom , it is your responsibility to check in with your homeroom teacher prior to going to your locker , or you may be marked absent.
  4. At times, you may have an appointment with a teacher or a scheduled activity during homeroom . It is your responsibility to check in with your homeroom teacherprior to going to your destination , or you may be marked absent.
  5. If you plan to leave school early , you must bring a signed note from home to the office. You will receive a pass that will need to be signed by all of the teachers of the classes you will be missing prior to the start of homeroom .
  6. If you plan to go home on a different bus , you must bring a signed note from home to the office prior to the start of homeroom .
    1. When you are absent from school , your homeroom teacher will give you an Absent/Excuse Card on the day that you return. You must return this card with your parent's/guardian's signature within three (3) school days. If you have not returned the card within that time, your name will be submitted to the office as an "illegal absence." It will be your responsibility to clear your name.
  7. Homeroom is a time when we can begin each day prepared, organized, and confident. Last minute review, preparation, or quiet conversation is encouraged. Homeroom is NEVER a time to copy work from another student . This is cheating, and it is unacceptable. Any work of this kind will be confiscated.
