Teachers Tracee Myers and Amy Weir will use their $667 grant to purchase flexible seating items for the school’s STEM Club, which meets in the “FAB-Lab.” Their goal is to transform the “FAB-Lab” into a bigger and better working makerspace for all 420 students in the school to work on projects, or use the robots, supplies and tools. The flexible seating options -- two stability ball chairs, four wobble stools and an 8-foot by 10-foot carpet space -- will meet the needs of varied learners and give them options to thrive while creating, innovating and tinkering on their favorite projects.
