Teacher Laura Crawley will use her $1,000 grant to purchase a Blue-Bot Hive and accessories for use in her Developmental Kindergarten Class, a full day special education class of nine students with a variety of learning needs. She will also use it in the morning kindergarten class of 12 students that she co-teaches.

Blue Bots are small robots that children can program to move in several directions and are used in tandem with mats that have letters, numbers, shapes, rhyming words, maps and more. Coding the bots will help students develop their spatial reasoning skills, critical thinking skills, growth mindset and the ability to work collaboratively with peers while using the bots across multiple academic areas.
