Berry Good Slushie
1 C. vanilla yogurt, 1/2 C. applesauce, 1 C. Berry juice, strawberries to
garnish
Spoon 1/2 yogurt & applesauce into resealable sandwich plastic
baggie. Pour 1/2 of the juice into bag, seal, & shake/mix carefully! Repeat with
remaining ingredients into another bag. Freeze for 35 min. or until slushy. Spoon
into 2 glasses, add strawberries on top to garnish.
Painting Butter Cookies
Icing:
2-3 T. merangue powder
1 box (lb.) confectioner's sugar
1/3 C. warm water
Mix 5 min. until stiff. Add color
Cookies:
1 C. (2 sticks) butter, soft
1/2 C. sugar
1 egg
1 T. vanilla
3 C. flour
1/2 t. baking powder
Combine and mix well. Cover and refrigerate overnight/2 hours. Roll
out and use various cookie cutters. 350 degrees 9-12 minutes Cool and decorate!
Ice Cream in a Baggie!
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 C. half and half
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 C. salt (the bigger the granules, the better. Kosher or rock salt work
best, but table salt will work)
Ice cubes-- enough to fill the gallon-size bag about 1/2 full
1 quart size ziplock baggie
1 gallon size ziplock baggie
Combine sugar, half and half, and vanilla and put in pint-size baggie.
Seal tightly. Place the salt and ice in the gallon-size baggie, then
place the smaller baggie inside the larger baggie and seal. Shake the bags
until the mixture becomes hardened. (about 5 minutes) When it seems like
ice cream, take out the smaller baggie and eat your ice cream.... get a
spoon, and add toppings! Serves 1 (2-3 kids could share this amount of ice cream)
Football Pudding
Put instant pudding in a sealed plastic baggie along with the right
amount of milk (see box). Squeeze the air out. Stand in a circle with your friends
and toss the 'football pudding' around. It'll be mixed in no time! Cut off the
corner of the baggie and squeeze pudding into cups so everyone can
have some!

After you roast your marshmallow, put it in between 2 chocolate covered
grahmn crackers. Enjoy

Magic Milkshake
Pour 1 cup milk into blender
add 1 pkg. (4 serving size) JELL-O gelatin
Cover and blend 30 seconds.
Add 1 pint softened ice cream; blend 1 minute longer.
Zookies
1/2 C. softened butter 1 C. flour
1/2 C. brown sugar 1/2 tea. baking soda
1 egg 1/4 tea. salt
1/2 tea. vanilla extract 1 small zucchini, shredded
1 C. oatmeal 1/2 C. raisins
3/4 C. shredded coconut (optional) 1/2 C. butterscotch chips
Cream together butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla and beat well. Sift
flour and baking soda and salt and mix into wet mixture. Add zucchini,
oatmeal, raisins, coconut, and chips. Mix well. Drop by teaspoon onto
greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-14 minutes. Makes 50
Make Fudge in a Ziplock Baggie
3 oz. pkg. of cream cheese
1 lb. box of powdered sugar
2 packets of cocoa mix or 1/2 Cup of cocoa
2 Tablespoons of butter
2 1 gallon Ziplock baggies
Place all ingredients in 1 of the baggies, close, and then put into the 2nd Ziplock
baggie. Give everyone a turn at squishing the bags to mix. Mix until smooth....Enjoy!
Tape Recorder Time!!
Use a tape recorder to record your voice, songs, interviews, or silly noises.
It's fun making a recording, but even more fun listening to it!!!!
Raisin Race
Fill 2 glasses with equal amounts of a clear carbonated beverage. Try to
limit the fizzing. On 'go', each player drops 1 raisin into the glass. It
will sink to the bottom, but will rise to the surface as bubbles collect on
it. The first person with the raisin to the top of the glass, WINS!
Crowd Squeezer
Spread a blanket/sheet on the ground. Pile your family on top so that no part
of any person's body touches the ground beyond the blanket. If your family
was successful, try it again AFTER you have folded the blanket in half. Keep
squeezing, then folding the blanket in half!!! Laughs galore!
Ready, Set, Go!
Use a stopwatch to clock hours of silly contests: How many baskets can you
shoot in 1 minute? How many math facts can you solve in 1 minute? How long
does is take you to blow a perfect bubble with a new piece of bubble gum? How
long does it take to run around the house? ETC
Sprinkler Race
Two players stand on opposite sides of a sprinkler. Each trying to fill a
glass with water first. The catch, you cannot move your feet!!! If you do,
you dump your cup of water over your head!

Wet Your Noodle
Get a parent to help cut out a target hole in an old soda (or milk jug)
bottle. Add colored tape, or spray paint, the hole so you can see it from a
distance. Put goggles on to protect your eyes and hand hold this soda bottle
above your head...still!!! Get a friend to shoot a spray bottle into your
target hole which is above your head! Try not to laugh as you get sprayed and
cooled off!
Paper Chase Race
Give each person 2 sheets of newspaper/paper/old magazines/etc. Players line
up across 1 end of the room. Players stand on one paper and hold onto the
other paper. On a signal, each person quickly sets the sheet she/he is
holding on the floor in front of him/her and steps onto it with both feet.
Then, pick up the first paper you were just standing on, set it in front, and
step on it! Keep alternating papers always stepping onto the next sheet with
both feet before moving the other. The first player to cross the finish line
wins
Make GOOEY GUNK!
Here is how to make GOOEY GUNK!
Mix together in a bowl (Solution A)
1 cup cold water
1 cup glue
a few drops of food coloring
Mix togetherin another bowl (Solution B)
11/3 cups warm water
4 tablespoons of Borax laundry booster
Mix together until Borax dissolves.
Slowly pour solution A into B
Roll solution A around in solution 4-6 times.
Lift solution A out of B & knead for 2 minutes
Tadah!!! Now you have Gooey Gunk. (Stores in plastic baggie/refrigerate)

Magic Muck
3/4 Cup corn starch
1/3 Cup water
food coloring if you'd like color!
Mix water (and food coloring). Slowly add cornstarch. DO NOT STIR. Let stand 2-3
minutes. Have fun on the table.
Clean Mud
You will ll need 1 roll of toilet paper, 1 bar of Dove soap, and warm water. Tear the toilet
paper into pieces and grate the soap. Mix together. Slowly add warm water and keep
mixing gently u ntil it feels like whipped cream (& it does!).

What you need:
Medium sized pot Metal spoon for stirring
Wax paper 1 cup white flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar � cup salt
1 TBS. vegetable oil food coloring (optional)
Put all ingredients into the pot. Let your child decide the color of the play dough. Cook over
medium heat, stirring constantly. Dough will eventually become harder to stir and will gather on
spoon. At this point, put the ball of dough onto the wax paper, allow to cool somewhat and need it until smooth (about 30 seconds.)
Store cooled dough in a plastic bag. Requires no refrigeration.

18 oz. peanut butter
6 tbsps. honey
Non-fat dry milk
Cocoa for flavor (optional)
Mix all ingredients, adding enough dry milk to give make dough pliable. Shape, decorate with edible treats, and eat!
