Social Studies Course Objectives
Sixth Grade – Students will analyze world cultures in order to assess their impact over time.
Seventh Grade – Students will evaluate rules and laws at municipal, state, and federal levels in order to examine their societal impact.
Eighth Grade – Students will critique significant global historical events in United States history in order to develop claims on societal issues.

Pennoyer Students will explore their world and the world around them through investigation and inquiry as they make connections to cultures, history, economics, civics, and geography. Throughout the curriculum, students will collaborate with peers, use and analyze various sources to draw conclusions, and grow as problem solvers and informed global citizens.
